I was recently reviewing Videosign’s brand guidelines and marketing strategy and was struck by how authentically our team embodies our core values. Our values drive us and has shaped how our e-signature and contract management platform has evolved. Whilst this didn’t surprise me as I know how passionate and straightforward the team is, it was a nice opportunity to reflect on the many ways the team demonstrate these values every day without prompts or reminders. They are built into the fabric of Videosign.   

Transparency: No Hidden Surprises 

We all know how frustrating it can be when additional fees are squirrelled away in small print or lengthy documents. Pricing is just one of the ways by which Videosign lives its core value of ‘transparency’. 

I recently met with our CEO to agree pricing for a new feature we are launching. Faced with complex calculations due to varying use-cases, we realized we couldn’t set a fair price without more data. Instead of guessing, we partnered with a customer for a 3-month pilot, offering them the feature for free in exchange for valuable insights. Until we can price it fairly and clearly, we won’t price it at all. 

This commitment to transparency extends to our pricing structure, how our technology works, and what it can and. perhaps more important, can’t do. We prioritise clear documentation, readily available support, and open communication to ensure our customers feel confident and informed. We build trust through honesty. 

Simple: Easy to Use, Easy to Love 

“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”—a quote we often share (regardless of its disputed origin). It perfectly captures our design philosophy.  

Let’s be honest, no one wants to spend hours learning a new piece of software.  Simplicity is at the heart of our platform’s design. We strive to make our e-signature process intuitive and user-friendly, regardless of your technical expertise. I was recently training a new member of the team and we were talking about how long an initial demonstration should be. Whilst being clear that there is no set time as it depends on the customer’s needs, in general the system itself takes 10 minutes to walk through. It’s that simple. This gives us more time to work with customers on their processes and how we can simplify that they’re doing day-to-day.  

Happy customers are those who can seamlessly integrate our platform into their existing workflows without a steep learning curve. We constantly gather feedback and iterate on our design to ensure it remains as simple and effective as possible. 

Customer-Focused: Your Needs Drive Our Innovation 

While “the customer is always right” might seem like a given, this remains one of our core brand values to ensure we remain focused on you.  

Being customer-focused means actively listening to your needs and incorporating your feedback into our development roadmap. As a small, agile team, we can quickly adapt to address specific challenges and provide tailored solutions. We offer 1-1 training and support for all customers, ensuring a consistent experience whether they’re brand new or long-term users.  

This direct communication allows us to build a product that genuinely solves real-world problems. 

Cutting-Edge: Staying Ahead of the Curve 

Videosign experienced significant growth during COVID, demonstrating our foresight in completing contracts and agreements remotely.  

But we didn’t stop there.  

We continue to invest in research and development to ensure our platform remains at the forefront of e-signature technology. This includes exploring new features, enhancing security, and integrating with the latest platforms. Our recent launch of a bespoke contract creator and document management module, along with upcoming AI developments, keeps us at the cutting edge. 

This helps me and the team day to day – the marketing plan writes itself. It is exciting to promote a product that is constantly innovating and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.  

So why does all this matter?  

At Videosign, we align our product and service with our brand values, rather than the other way around. This approach simplifies everything. While we maintain brand guidelines, we don’t need constant oversight to ensure our values are being demonstrated. They’re naturally integrated into our daily work.
